On August 19th, the BBPA Academy launched its first The Business Of cohort to an enthusiastic response. Now heading into its 5th week of quality practical content, its attendees have actively contributed to the depth and breadth of each session. Taking place every Monday and Thursday, participants have joined industry experts in discussing a variety of topics, from business planning, operations, to branding. The courses aim to address core business topics for entrepreneurs and professionals. The scope focuses on key fundamentals and opportunity discovery. 85% of participants have rated the overall program 4.5 out of 5 stars and find each session to be interactive, practical, and effective.

The Business of is one of BBPA’s twenty-two programs all geared towards advancing Canada’s Black business and professional communities by delivering programs that support education, entrepreneurial success, and professional growth. In a typical week, the BBPA facilitates over 6 recurring programs covering various topics and professional interests.
Exclusive to participants of The Business Of program who are Toronto residents, in the opportunity to pitch for a $5K Grant from the City of Toronto. To be eligible for the $5000 grant, each participant must attend all The Business Of sessions and meet other City of Toronto specified criteria.
