BBPA and Say It Loud, in partnership with Mentor Canada and Starbucks will launch the 6-month long mentorship program for Black Youth, called Say It Loud! MentorME on November 25 and 26, 2020, by 6pm. November 25, will see French speaking mentors address issues around mentorship while encouraging other mentors to step to the challenge. November 26, will have English speaking mentors addressing the same for the English audience, and calling all mentees to accept this opportunity.
The theme for the launch is Enabling A Future For Black Youth Through Mentorship.
Say It Loud! MentorME Program is targeted at 14- 29 year olds, and directly answers a call from young Black people to be connected to leaders and role models. It also answers the need to support and facilitate adult role models so that they can share their experiences in a way that is sensitive to anti-Black racism. Young people participating in the Say It Loud! MentorME Program will have the opportunity to create a network of supportive advisors, identify career pathways, take leadership positions, increase skill in problem solving, relationship management and self-motivation. Mentors will have the opportunity to create impact in the lives of hundreds of Black youth and be a part of their success stories.
We encourage you all to register for this event on November 25 and 26; and fill the interest form in the link below. Invite others to do the same as this will be an opportunity for impact and expedited growth!
