34) Submitting Your Application *
Use the built-in on-line protocol for submitting your application. Immediately thereafter, submit supporting documents in a separate email to the NSF as noted in Item 35. Submit your application by the deadline of Friday, June 16, 2017.

35) Electronic Submission of Supporting Documents *
Immediately after submitting your scholarship application, you must send an email to the BBPA National Scholarship Fund (scholarships@bbpa.org) with the following documents attached in PDF format:

i: A Letter of Recommendation from your Teacher: PDF format
ii: A Letter of Recommendation from a member of your Community: PDF format
iii: Your Academic Transcript: PDF format.

Should you experience a delay in obtaining your hardcopy original transcripts, we will extend the receipt of your transcript to a June 30, 2017 deadline.

Note: Indicate your name (Surname, Given Name) on the subject line of all emails sent to the NSF Office. (Example: Doe, John)

36) Submitting Your Hardcopy Original Transcript *
You must submit a hardcopy original of your academic transcript to the NSF Office no later than Friday, June 30, 2017. It must be received by the NSF by June 30, 2017. Refer to Items 21 and 22 of this application form for details about your academic transcript. (See the NSF’s address in Item 36)

HOW TO APPLY

The applications for the 2017 BBPA National Scholarships are now open. The ‘How to Apply’ guide provided below serves as a guide to prospective 2017 scholarship applicants. The application form for the 2017 BBPA National Scholarships will be posted online by May 8, 2017.

STEP ONE- READ THE GUIDE: Download and carefully read the Application Guide. This document guides you though the scholarship-application process and provides clarification for most of the questions and items in the online application form.

STEP TWO – REVIEW THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM: Carefully review the BBPA National Scholarship Application Form. Using the application form and the Application Guide, list the various supporting materials that you are required to provide, and also the questions which require ‘essay-style’ responses.

STEP THREE – ASSEMBLE SUPPORTING MATERIAL: Take the time to assemble the supporting material required of you (e.g. supporting letters and your academic transcript), and also to draft the essay-style responses some questions require (in a Word document which you may later paste into your online application form).

STEP FOUR- SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION:  Having assembled all required supporting material, submit your online application form by the June 16, 2017 deadline.

Friday, June 30, 2017                                 Deadline to submit completed applications for a 2017 BBPA National Scholarship.

Thursday, August 31, 2017                        Decisions regarding 2017 scholarship recipients will be announced.

Thursday, October 5, 2017 (TBC)                       2017 Awards Ceremony, BBPA National Scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be advised.
