Leo Campbell
Director at Large
Leo Campbell is enthusiastically involved in many cultural and community organizations nationally and internationally including serving as a past Executive Vice President, Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA, is the largest and oldest African, Caribbean, Black social service agency in Canada). He currently serves as a Director-at-Large (with responsibility for Young Professionals and Wealth Creation portfolios) for the Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA).
Leo held the responsibility as the President of Jamaican Diaspora Canada Future Leaders for six years; and was the Coordinating Chair of the Jamaica Diaspora Future Leaders Conference in 2008 at Shortwood Teachers College and in 2009 at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. He was also Co-chair of Future Leaders Summits and the Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) GTA Roundtable Series held in Toronto (hosted by The Consulate General of Jamaica in Toronto in 2006 and 2008) He has also been a presenter at several International conferences.
Leo holds the distinction as the first Future Leaders member appointed with full voting member status representing Canada on the Advisory Board to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Government of Jamaica. Additionally, He was also privileged to work with the Grenadian Prime Minister and the Minister of Tourism, Government of Grenada in various capacities including as a National Youth Coordinator.
For his service Leo has received several awards some include the Presidents “Bridging the Gap” Award, United Negro College Fund, USA and the President’s Award for Leadership (JCA).
