Welcome to the 2nd Annual National Black Business and Professional Convention

This year the BBPA has combined the National Convention with the young Leaders of Tomorrow Conference, under the banner of “EDUCATION + JOB CREATION = FINANCIAL LIBERATION: The Road to Generational Wealth.”

This momentous event will be held on November 3rd & 4th, 2011 at the Allstream Centre, Canada’s newest and greenest state-of-the-art conference centre at Toronto’s Exhibition Place, located in the heart of the Financial District.

This two-day convention will showcase the best in business, entrepreneurship, education, and finance attracting Canada’s brightest students, top employers, entrepreneurs, visionaries, and government officials. It will also focus on organizations and institutions that promote diversity. Additionally, the BBPA will draw on multi-disciplinary professionals, businesses and organizations to cohesively stimulate and inject an appetite for economic excellence. Also, promoting a high level of sustainability across the numerous and often intersecting business lines.

Conference delegate check-in and registration will take place between the hours 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on November 3rd followed by the conference Opening Ceremony which will begin promptly at 6:30 pm with remarks from Pauline Christian, BBPA President, a keynote address from Kevin Williams, President and Managing Director of GM Canada, Ltd., and others.

November 4th, the final day of the National Conference will commence at 8:00 am with continental breakfast. Damon Allen, former Toronto Argonauts Quarter Back and CFL Champion, will give a special address followed by several workshop presentations and round table discussions geared towards “the road to generational wealth” between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:30 pm. The Finale/Wrap Up will take place from 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm, and from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm conference delegates will have the opportunity to participate in a networking social.
